2026-2027 Band Fees

Students are given ample fundraising opportunities to help offset the costs of band participation. Payment plans are also available and can be arranged through the Band Boosters and Director of Bands. Checks may be made payable to Tallwood High School Band Boosters.

  • Marching Band Fee

    This fee helps offset the cost for each student’s instruction, music, drill, copyrights, marching t-shirt, marching band hoodie (for first-year marchers), and other marching band supplies. New hoodies are $55 for returning marchers. All students will be required to provide their own long, black socks.

    • April Payment (Guard Only) $250

      Due April 28 — Required to purchase custom-made uniforms for guard members.

    • May Payment (Band Only) $150

      Due May 30 — Applies to all band marchers (not color guard)

    • June Payment (Band Only) $100

      Due June 30 — Applies to all band members (not color guard)

    • July Payment $125

      Due July 30

    • August Payment $50

    • September Payment (New Marchers) $75

    • September Payment (Returning Marchers) $50

  • Marching Band Hoodie $55

    Included in the Marching Band Fee for new marchers. Returning marchers wanting a new hoodie may purchase one.

  • Shoe Fee $50

    Due August 15 — All first-year marchers are required to purchase Drill Master marching band shoes for a one-time fee. The Band Boosters will fit students and order the shoes during the first week of band camp. Any returning marchers that need to purchase new shoes will also need to be fitted and pay the $48 shoe fee.

  • Ensemble Fee $35

    Due October 31 — All students in the band program must pay the Ensemble Fee, per individual ensemble (Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band, etc.). This fee helps offset the costs of participating in All-Virginia sanctioned events, music, clinicians, and other concert supplies.

  • Concert Attire Fee $45

    Due November 30 — All students will have the choice to rent the concert black tuxedo or concert dress from the Band Boosters. Boys and girls are required to provide their own appropriate footwear. Boys are required to provide their own long black dress socks.
